RA and I are happy to report that we arrived safe and sound in Charleston, SC this morning. The sky was clear, the sun was shining and the air felt springlike compared to the frigid cold that greeted us earlier this a.m.
After getting ourselves settled in and having a tasty lunch, we headed over to the Aquarium to check out the water views and then moved on to Sullivan's Island. As the day progressed the clouds started rolling in and by the time we reached Fort Moultrie the sky was grey and the winds started howling. As historically interesting as the fort was, we didn't find anything that we mutually wanted to photograph.
We drove back into the city and had a little pick me up at Black Tap Coffee (my Chai Latte was super delicious). We then wandered around the area stumbling upon the old city jail and a lovely Unitarian garden cemetery. We both wanted to photograph in the cemetery but the light was too flat and so we agreed we will revisit later this week when the sun will shine again.
